Overview
This was ServiceNow’s second year at MWC, and having booked the Garden area
again for 2024, they came to us wanting to really bring the garden to life with a cohesive
look and feel, that encouraged networking as much as it did viewing content, and that
incorporated their Executive Circle programme which has its own sub-branding. As an outdoor
space, it has specific challenges around the weather, comfort, health & safety, and this was
the first year that the experience would be fully planned out so it was entirely open to MOI
to interpret the space, but within the confines of these parameters.
Our solution
We wanted to give people the freedom to explore the garden but ensure they all
had the same initial experience, one which would be inviting both in terms of feeling
welcoming but also encouraging people to ask questions and find out more about ServiceNow.
The entrance was a ‘tunnel’ through which every attendee would enter the garden, and which
had ServiceNow brand messaging from its CEO Bill McDermott playing as a first opportunity to
learn more about ServiceNow. From there visitors were met by a huge central cafe/bar – the
meeting place for networking – and the main ‘stage’ giving the garden a festival feel – a
place to listen, to feel energised, with like-minded people and to network and find out
more. This was a garden of discovery, and main content stage was named ‘Discover ServiceNow’
in reference to this idea. The garden had interactive ‘demo pods’ where visitors could talk
to Sponsors and test out their solutions and meeting rooms to conduct business.
The Executive space was devised then to be almost a ‘secret garden’ – a space
within a space – that was tranquil, inviting, almost ‘lounge like’ in its design so that
invited Executives could meet, network, see demos or simply have some time out of their busy
schedule at MWC to take stock. This space replicated the Executive Circle branding, very
much about neutral and earthy colours and furnishings, and natural materials to give it a
warm and secluded space.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the great work that’s gone into the ServiceNow
space. It’s stunning…This year we have grown up!
